Sometimes the classics really are the best.

If you can't tell, I had fun with the sprites in this comic. Especially Dante. The sprite in the fifth panel (shamefully cut off for the most part) is one of my favorite sprites of Dante ever. His fist is clenched, his entire body is shaking with rage... It's great ^_^

But yeah, the reason for the Ice World conquest is finally revealed - Negative Author wants cereal characters. ...That's an odd fetish, in'nt?

On a different note, somebody somewhere (I believe it was Ocil at the mirror site, though I could be mistaken) brought up an interesting point the other day: He suggested that the reason Snap, Crackle, and Pop were such rich energy sources is because they lived in the comic's energy core, and the energy rubbed off on them.

In actuality, it's the opposite - The Ice World is the core at all because the cereal characters live there. It's not as though the Ice World's atmosphere just has more energy in it or something like that... It's just that's where most of the energy in the comic resides. If all of the cereal characters were to move out of the Ice World, then wherever they went would be the core. It's just that the Ice World keeps them at their peak (they are well refrigerated there, after all).

Of course, this is all a moot point since the biggest energy source of all of them is stationary anyway. (I suppose one could consider this object the true core...)
